Hester v. NJ Transit
Settled for $5,800,000 With co-counsel Kevin Barber and Neil Mullin achieved a settlement including $5.8 Million, training for all superior officers, reinstatement of the only plaintiff not still employed, and the appointment of an Ombudsman to hear discrimination complaints for ten minority police officers subjected to race discrimination and harassment in the NJ Transit Police Department.
Wagner v. UMDNJ
Settled for $4,650,000 With co-counsel Neil Mullin and Kevin Barber achieved a $4.65 Million settlement for ten currently employed medical school professors who were subjected to wage discrimination.
Truax v. Washington Twp
Ms. Nancy Erika Smith, successfully negotiated a substantial settlement for a young boy who was kept out of school because his sister had AIDS. This was one of the first cases in establishing the rights of students who are HIV positive — and their siblings — to attend public school.
